Why Should You Buy a Manufactured Home?

A California State Long Beach graduate, Drita Bronkey is a consultant at Zemer Property Management Consultants (ZPMC). Drita is also a member of the New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association, a trade organization that promotes the interests of professionals and stakeholders in the manufactured housing industry in New Mexico.

A manufactured home, also known as a mobile home, refers to a prefabricated house built at a factory before getting transported to where it will be situated. This type of housing is usually cheaper than traditional homes constructed on-site. Below are some of the reasons you should consider buying a manufactured home.

Firstly, manufactured homes are cheaper than traditional ones. Since they are mass-produced, they cost less to produce; hence, they go for lower prices. While the average cost of a traditional home is $500,000, the average cost of a manufactured home is $87,000.

Another reason to consider manufactured homes is mobility. Unlike traditional homes, you can move a mobile home with you if you want to move. Since they are factory-built, construction of manufactured homes is typically faster than traditionally built homes. You don’t have to worry about being delayed by bad weather or zoning and permit problems with manufactured homes.
